Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, has announced the launch of its 2026 product portfolio, showcasing major advancements in energy efficiency and smart cooling technologies. The new lineup features an upgraded range of Room Air Conditioners (RACs) aligned with the latest BEE 2026 Star Rating standards, along with the introduction of the AI-enabled VRV Alpha series.

The launch event was led by Chairman and Managing Director Kanwaljeet Jawa and attended by key senior leaders including Sanjay Goyal, Director and Vice President; Ullas Shamra, Regional Vice President – West; and Vikas Gupta, General Manager and Business Operations Head – Gujarat.

The leadership team actively participated in the unveiling and engaged with media representatives, sharing insights on the company’s latest innovations, growth strategy, and outlook for the Indian air-conditioning market.

Speaking on the launch, Jawa emphasized Daikin’s continued focus on innovation and customer-centric solutions. He highlighted that the 2026 portfolio, comprising over 60 models, reflects the company’s Japanese technological expertise tailored for Indian conditions.

He also noted that Daikin’s three manufacturing facilities are strengthening its ability to meet growing demand while reinforcing its leadership in the HVAC sector. These investments underline the company’s long-term vision of sustainable growth, strategic partnerships, and contribution to India’s evolving cooling needs.

Next-Generation Room ACs: Efficiency Meets Performance

Daikin’s 2026 Room AC range has been engineered to surpass the Bureau of Energy Efficiency’s updated ISEER standards. Built around the company’s “Responsible Cooling” philosophy, the new models integrate several advanced technologies, including patented Streamer Discharge for enhanced air purification, swing compressor technology for improved efficiency, smart IoT-enabled controls, DNNS anti-corrosion coating for durability, and high-ambient cooling performance up to 54°C.

The lineup focuses strongly on 5-star inverter split ACs, offering quieter operation, faster cooling, and improved energy savings. These upgrades aim to appeal to both premium urban consumers and first-time buyers seeking reliable, eco-friendly cooling solutions.

VRV Alpha: AI-Driven Central Cooling Solution

In the commercial and luxury residential segment, Daikin has introduced the VRV Alpha series, marking a significant leap in intelligent climate control.

This system combines advanced hardware with AI-based control software that can learn, adapt, and optimize performance in real time. By anticipating environmental and usage changes, VRV Alpha enhances energy efficiency while maintaining optimal comfort.

The new series aligns with modern infrastructure demands, where sustainability, connectivity, and design flexibility are increasingly critical.

Price Revision from April 2026

Daikin India has announced a price increase of 7–12% across its product range, effective April 2026, citing rising raw material costs and supply chain pressures.
