Gujarat Emerges as a Key Travel Source Market

Highlighting the significance of Gujarat, Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman and CEO of Fairfest Media, said the state’s strong economy, rising disposable incomes and travel-oriented population have made it one of India’s most important travel source markets.

He said TTF Ahmedabad has grown into the largest exhibition in the TTF series, attracting more exhibitors than any other TTF event organised by Fairfest Media. According to him, the exhibition provides destinations, tourism boards and travel brands with the most efficient access to Western India’s travel trade ahead of the festive and winter travel season.

Ahmedabad’s Growing Travel Economy

Ahmedabad continues to strengthen its position as a key travel hub in Western India, supported by Gujarat’s robust business environment, an active travel trade network and increasing demand for domestic and international travel.

The city’s growing aviation sector reflects this momentum. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport handled more than 1.38 crore passengers during FY 2025-26, including 1.14 crore domestic travellers and 24 lakh international passengers.

With its focus on business networking, destination promotion and tourism partnerships, TTF Ahmedabad 2026 aims to connect destinations and travel brands with buyers from Gujarat and neighbouring western states, providing a platform for business development in one of India’s most commercially vibrant travel markets.
