1. NSE IPO fully subscribed on Day 2
The ₹22,561-crore NSE IPO was fully subscribed on its second day, with strong participation from qualified institutional and non-institutional investors. The issue remains open until September 21.
2. Indian markets end mixed; Nifty gains while Sensex slips
The Nifty 50 rose 0.31% to 23,346.40, while the Sensex slipped 0.03% to 74,294.96. Lower crude prices and selective buying supported the market, although IT and Tata stocks remained under pressure.
3. Tata Group stocks lose around $4 billion in market value

9. Direct tax collections rise 13% to ₹12.12 lakh crore
India’s net direct tax collections reached more than ₹12.12 lakh crore up to September 17, up 13% year-on-year. Corporate advance-tax payments rose 18.1% to ₹4.16 lakh crore.
10. Dr Reddy’s to distribute Takeda’s dengue vaccine in India
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has signed an India distribution agreement with Takeda for Qdenga, following its approval by India’s drug regulator for use in children and adults.

1. Bank of Japan raises interest rate to 1.25%
The Bank of Japan raised its policy rate to 1.25%, its highest level in 31 years, as it continues to respond to inflationary pressures. The yen nevertheless weakened after the decision.
2. Turkey moves to stabilise markets after fund sell-off
Turkish authorities increased central-bank liquidity support and took measures affecting investment funds after a sharp market sell-off. The central bank increased repo funding to 300 billion lira.
3. Russia places Nestlé and Auchan businesses under temporary administration
