1. India’s September GST collections cross ₹2 lakh crore
Gross GST collections jumped 14.7% year-on-year to about ₹2.04 lakh crore in September, while net revenue growth accelerated to 18.1%. The numbers added to signs of economic momentum going into the festive period.

2. Manufacturing activity strengthens in September
India’s manufacturing PMI recovered in September as stronger domestic and export demand lifted new orders and production. Employment expanded at its fastest pace since May, while manufacturers reported improved business confidence.

3. Government extends RoDTEP export-support scheme
The Centre extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme until December 31, 2026, retaining existing reimbursement rates and value caps to support exporters facing global uncertainties.

4. India-US trade agreement not imminent, says USTR
US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said outstanding issues in the proposed India-US trade agreement have been identified, but an agreement is not imminent. Greer described his discussions with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal as constructive.

5. India and Australia push to accelerate trade agreement
India and Australia are seeking to expedite negotiations on their Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement while reviewing the existing ECTA, with greater market access for Indian exporters among the priorities.

6. INOX Air Products files papers for IPO

7. Four companies receive SEBI clearance for IPOs

8. India’s IPO pipeline swells to ₹4.48 lakh crore
Thirty-four IPOs raised around ₹39,340 crore during September, while 237 companies were reported to be in the IPO pipeline with potential issues worth about ₹4.48 lakh crore.

9. Weak monsoon prompts ICRA to cut farm-growth forecast
With the 2026 southwest monsoon rainfall at just 87% of the long-period average, ICRA lowered its FY27 agriculture growth forecast to around 1% from 1.3%, citing lower sowing and weaker reservoir levels.

10. Inflation pressures could intensify, SBI Research says
SBI Research estimated September CPI inflation at around 5.65% and projected it could exceed 6.5% during October-November. A weakening rupee was identified as an additional inflation risk.

1. Global M&A activity falls sharply in third quarter
Worldwide mergers and acquisitions totalled about $993 billion in Q3, down 41% from the previous quarter as higher borrowing costs weighed on deals. Year-to-date M&A activity, however, remained 28% higher at $3.9 trillion.

2. Oil prices ease after sharp rise
Brent crude slipped to around $101.61 a barrel during Friday trading as markets weighed recovering Middle East supplies against continuing geopolitical risks.

3. Airbus delivers around 72 aircraft in September
Airbus delivered approximately 72 commercial aircraft in September, according to industry sources, keeping attention on whether the European planemaker can meet its full-year target of roughly 870 aircraft.

4. Argentina discusses major LNG project with Eni
Argentine President Javier Milei met Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi to discuss the country’s LNG project, part of Argentina’s drive to expand its position in global energy markets.

5. US reportedly tightens flow of aircraft parts to China
The Trump administration has been slowing some aircraft-parts exports to China as it seeks additional leverage in trade negotiations, according to people familiar with the matter.
