NSE Raises ₹6,746 Crore from Anchor Investors

 National Stock Exchange of IndiaLtd, which is the largest stock exchange in India in terms of total turnover in cash market and total turnover in equity derivatives (based on notional turnover for equity options) from Fiscal 20011 to Fiscal 2026 and the three months period ended June 30, 2026, has garnered nearly Rs 6746.1 crore from anchor investors ahead of its initial public offering that opens for public subscription on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

National Stock Exchange of India Ltd’s anchor book attracted participation from more than 150 marquee investors across geographies and investor categories, reflecting broad-based confidence in the business model, long-term growth strategy, and India’s expanding capital market / financial opportunity.

The company informed the bourses that it allocated 37, 793, 739 equity shares at Rs 1,785 per share to anchor investors.

The anchor book saw participation from a distinguished set of long-term investors, including leading sovereign wealth funds, global asset managers, domestic and international mutual funds, insurance companies and alternative investment platforms. 

The participation of marquee institutions such as Life Insurance Corporation of India, Government Pension Fund Global, Monetary Authority of Singapore, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority – Monsoon, Fidelity Funds – India Focus Fund, SBI Life Insurance Co Ltd, Goldman Sachs Funds – Goldman Sachs Asia Equity Portfolio and HSBC Global Investment Funds – Indian Equity, amongst others, serves as a strong endorsement of NSE’s market leadership and long-term growth prospects.

Amongst equity-oriented schemes, the company has allocated shares to SBI Banking & Financial Services Fund, ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund and HDFC Mutual Fund – HDFC Banking and Financial Services Fund.Out of the total allocation of 37,793,739 equity shares to the anchor investors, 13,977,524 equity shares were allocated to 29 domestic mutual funds through 98 schemes.
