Ace Designers Limited (ADL), the flagship of the Ace Micromatic Group, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art assembly facility at Panchratna Industrial Park in Ahmedabad, marking a significant step in its next phase of global expansion and capacity enhancement.
The new plant is strategically aligned with the company’s long-term growth roadmap and is designed to achieve an annual production capacity of 3,000 CNC turning machines and 1,000 machining centres over the next five years. The facility will also play a key role in strengthening localization by nurturing regional vendor ecosystems and deploying a skilled workforce.
Starting with an initial team of around 100 employees, the workforce is expected to expand to nearly 350 as operations scale up. In addition, Ace Designers Limited is taking a significant step toward nurturing local talent by creating opportunities for engineering students in Ahmedabad.
The company will soon onboard an initial batch of 50 students, offering them hands-on exposure to real-world production and manufacturing processes. Guided by experienced industry professionals, this initiative aims to equip students with practical insights into the complexities and nuances of a modern manufacturing setup, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

He emphasized that the Ahmedabad plant has been conceptualized as a next-generation manufacturing unit, integrating advanced engineering processes, digital manufacturing technologies, and precision-focused assembly systems to meet evolving industrial demands.

Founded in 1979 by engineers from the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Ace Designers began as a design consultancy before evolving into a manufacturing powerhouse. Through the amalgamation of Ace Designers, Ace Manufacturing Systems, and Micromatic Machine Tools, ADL has grown into India’s largest manufacturer of CNC turning centres and machining centres, maintaining over 25 years of market leadership in the segment.
The company’s robust manufacturing ecosystem includes multiple production facilities and technology centres across India, enabling it to serve a wide spectrum of industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, electronics, railways, energy, and general engineering.
With an expected turnover of over ₹2,800 crore in FY 2025–26, ADL currently has the capacity to produce 8,000 turning centres and 3,400 machining centres annually, exporting to key markets across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Australia, and the Middle East.
Industry observers note that the Ahmedabad expansion strengthens ADL’s positioning in India’s rapidly growing manufacturing sector, particularly as demand rises for high-precision, digitally enabled machine tools under initiatives like “Make in India” and increasing global supply chain diversification.
With this new facility, Ace Designers is set to deepen its global footprint while reinforcing its core strengths in innovation, precision engineering, and customer-centric manufacturing solutions.
