In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening India’s cybersecurity ecosystem, NetProtector Cybersecurity, a leading indigenous cybersecurity company with over three decades of expertise, organized a Cybersecurity CISO Conclave and Masterclass on Cybersecurity & Compliances at Hotel Taj Skyline, Ahmedabad. The event brought together top Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), technology leaders, cybersecurity experts, and compliance professionals from across the BFSI and financial sectors.

The conclave focused on emerging cyber threats, regulatory compliance requirements, data sovereignty, and the growing importance of indigenous cybersecurity solutions in protecting India’s critical infrastructure.

With a legacy spanning more than 33 years, NetProtector Cybersecurity has established itself as one of India’s foremost cybersecurity solution providers, serving government departments, defense establishments, armed forces, hospitals, public sector organizations, and private enterprises. The company develops and operates its cybersecurity solutions entirely in India, ensuring that sensitive data remains within national boundaries.

Addressing the gathering,  Sanjiv Kela, Director, NetProtector Cybersecurity, emphasized the need for self-reliance in cybersecurity.

“Cybersecurity today is not merely an IT concern—it is a matter of national security. As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, India must rely on trusted indigenous technologies that ensure complete control over data and critical infrastructure. NetProtector’s mission is to be the protector of those who protect the nation.”

Highlighting the company’s commitment to data sovereignty, Kela noted that all NetProtector solutions are hosted on Indian infrastructure, with plans underway to establish a large-scale data center in GIFT City.

“Data is the new strategic asset. Keeping critical information within India’s jurisdiction is essential for national security, regulatory compliance, and business continuity,” he added.

A major highlight of the event was the Cybercrime Awareness Session conducted in association with officials from the Gandhinagar Cybercrime Branch. The session provided practical guidance on cybercrime reporting mechanisms, digital fraud prevention, and incident response strategies for organizations and citizens alike.

The cybercrime officials also stressed the importance of public awareness and collaboration between law enforcement agencies and cybersecurity providers to combat the rising threat of cyber fraud and ransomware attacks.

The masterclass featured insightful sessions by cybersecurity experts  Kamashri Patel,  Pankaj Darjee, and  Nisarg Trivedi, who shared actionable insights on evolving cyber risks, compliance frameworks, governance practices, and cybersecurity preparedness in the BFSI sector.

Vishal Sharma, Head – Gujarat Branch, NetProtector Cybersecurity, said the conclave was designed to create a platform for knowledge-sharing among security leaders.

“The cybersecurity landscape is changing rapidly. Through initiatives like this conclave, we aim to empower organizations with practical knowledge, regulatory awareness, and proven strategies that strengthen cyber resilience across sectors.”

Industry participants appreciated the sessions for their practical relevance and focus on real-world cybersecurity challenges faced by organizations today.

The event was successfully organized by NetProtector’s Pune and Ahmedabad teams under the leadership of  Sanjiv Kela,  Shaila Kela,  Sumit Kela,  Preeti Kela, and  Vishal Sharma.

The conclave concluded with a strong call for greater collaboration between industry, government, and cybersecurity professionals to build a secure digital future for India, reaffirming NetProtector Cybersecurity’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s digital infrastructure and promoting the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat in cybersecurity.

H. J. Parmar, Police Inspector, Gandhinagar Cybercrime Branch

“The nature of cybercrime has changed dramatically with the advent of artificial intelligence. Fraudsters today are using AI-powered tools, deepfakes, voice cloning, and sophisticated phishing techniques to target individuals and organizations. Awareness remains the first line of defence. Citizens and businesses must remain vigilant and report suspicious activities immediately. Collaboration between law enforcement agencies and trusted cybersecurity partners is essential to create a safer digital ecosystem.”

Sanjiv Kela, Director, NetProtector Cybersecurity

“In the AI era, cyberattacks are becoming faster, more intelligent, and more difficult to detect. Critical infrastructure, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and government departments require indigenous cybersecurity solutions that are built with India’s security needs in mind. For over 33 years, NetProtector has been safeguarding organizations across the country, and we are committed to strengthening Gujarat’s cyber resilience through advanced, Make-in-India security technologies and local support capabilities.”

Sumit Kela, Director, NetProtector Cybersecurity

“Artificial intelligence is a double-edged sword. While it enables innovation and efficiency, it also empowers cybercriminals to automate attacks at an unprecedented scale. Organizations can no longer rely on traditional security approaches. NetProtector continuously invests in research, threat intelligence, and next-generation security solutions to help businesses stay ahead of evolving cyber threats. Gujarat’s rapidly growing industrial and financial ecosystem deserves world-class cybersecurity protection, and we are fully prepared to support that growth.”

Gujarat is a strategic growth market for us, and we are committed to being a reliable cybersecurity partner for the state in the years ahead” Sumit said.

Preeti Kela, Director, NetProtector Cybersecurity
