7. NSE IPO moves closer after SEBI approval

1. Oil moves towards $100 as Hormuz tensions disrupt supplies
Brent crude moved close to $100 a barrel, reaching around $97.93 intraday, as US-Iran tensions and disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz continued to threaten energy flows.

2. China plans $54-billion capital injection into banks and insurers
China announced a coordinated $54-billion capital boost for state-owned banks and insurers as Beijing attempts to strengthen its financial system amid weak loan demand.

3. China’s exports expected to accelerate in August
Economists expect China’s export growth to have strengthened in August, reinforcing exports as a key support for the world’s second-largest economy while domestic consumption remains weak.

4. Japan’s corporate investment strengthens
Japanese companies increased spending on plant and equipment in the April-June quarter, signalling stronger business confidence and potentially strengthening the case for further Bank of Japan rate increases.

5. Global markets hit by oil and inflation worries
