1. Sensex plunges 1,124 points; Nifty closes below 22,800

2. India’s private-sector capex may rise to ₹3.2 lakh crore in FY27
The RBI’s September bulletin projects aggregate private-sector capital expenditure at ₹3.2 lakh crore in FY27, up from ₹2.6 lakh crore in FY26, with infrastructure continuing to account for a significant share.

3. Indian companies line up $3 billion in debt issues

Moneyview’s ₹3,000-crore IPO received 10.43 times subscription by 10:45 AM on September 28, according to NSE data. The company is expected to list on October 1, subject to the tentative schedule.

7. Four SME IPOs open for subscription
Acme Universal Safezone 9, Shree TNB Polymers, Pind Hospitality and Shivchem Agro opened their IPOs on Monday, together seeking nearly ₹100 crore from investors.

8. India’s industrial output accelerates to 8% in August
India’s industrial production growth accelerated to 8% in August, with manufacturing output rising 9%, according to data reported Monday.

9. Bank unions defer three-day nationwide strike
The planned September 28–30 bank strike was deferred following discussions between the Indian Banks’ Association and the United Forum of Bank Unions. A high-level committee is to examine outstanding employee issues.

10. India explores greater UAE role in LPG and LNG supplies
India is examining a larger role for the UAE in supplying LPG and LNG, while a subsea gas pipeline is also being studied as part of efforts to strengthen energy supplies.

1. US and China agree to cut tariffs on $60 billion of goods
Washington and Beijing agreed to reduce tariffs covering $60 billion of goods traded between the two countries, including agricultural products, as part of efforts to ease trade tensions.

2. China to cut tariffs on several US farm products
China announced plans to lower tariffs on a range of US agricultural products including corn, wheat, meat and dairy, although soybeans were excluded from the announced list.

3. Oil prices rise about 2% amid US-Iran tensions
Crude prices climbed around 2% on Monday after the US rejected an Iranian peace proposal, reviving concerns about disruptions to global oil supplies.

4. Wall Street opens lower as oil prices jump
US stocks came under pressure as higher crude prices revived inflation concerns and pushed Treasury yields higher. The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq were all lower in early trading.

5. Nvidia announces record $150-billion buyback expansion
